I was on a website the other day that focused on leadership and what team members considered to be the most important things that influenced their confidence in their leaders. The question was asked: what matters most to you in a leader?
The responses to the poll show that “integrity” is by far the most important issue but that is followed by having a clear “strategic vision.”
Integrity goes without question and, for me, having a clear strategic vision is also critical. In fact I would argue that it is a game changer! Firms that simply roll along doing more or less what they did last year are not at the top of their game and they find it hard to attract, retain and engage talent not to mention, attract, retain and engage their clients.
